For each detained removal defense case, WIDEN partners an experienced immigration lawyer, with a volunteer lawyer who does not practice removal defense and non-lawyer volunteers as appropriate. Whether you are an experienced immigration lawyer, a lawyer interested in practicing immigration law, a lawyer in another area of practice looking to volunteer, or a non-lawyer who wants to help guarantee detained immigrants due process and legal representation, WIDEN can help you get hands-on by putting you on one of its teams, train you to do your role on the team, and help you positively impact the life of an immigrant.
